LRC asks students to renew overdue books

The Learning Resource Center is asking students to return or renew their overdue books to the library after 237 books are overdue. The problem has been blamed on the English II and English III classes who are doing “You-Choose Book Project.”

“We are really excited about the circulation,” said media specialist Sandra Brooks. “But we really want the students to renew them.”

Brooks wants to remind students they can come before or after school, during lunch or during passing periods to renew their books. Students don’t even need the book with them.

The library opens at 7:00 am and closes Monday-Thursday at 4:00 and Friday at 3:00.

With the new increased circulation and over 500 books currently check out, Brooks says she is ordering new books. An order of 81 just went through and should arrive soon.

If students turn in the book late they will receive a fine, but it will be cut in half if you give the money to them right away.
