Fun. released “Carry On” on Oct 23, 2012, as the third single from their album, “Some Nights.” The song starts off slow and quiet and later turns into a rock anthem that reminds us all to keep going, even in the face of hardship. “Carry On” peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Fun.’s third consecutive single to reach the top 20 on that chart. Since the release of the music video on Oct 24, 2012, a day after the song was released as a single, it has received 64 million views on YouTube. Though we are only half way through the first quarter of the school year, it is obvious this year is going to be anything but easy for any of us, and I think this song is a reminder that we’ll get through the year and that all we can do is keep moving forward, rather than dwell on our past.
