One bond between two sisters
It is Nov. 17, a brisk and cold night like any other November night. But at HHS, it is the night of the musical, “The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland”.
It is a scene in the show when Alice walks into a forest only to be jeered at and taunted by the infamous Cheshire Cats.
The audience may only watch and be mind-blown by how fast one actor must be moving to the other side of the stage so quickly.
The spectators may be pondering: How can one person be in two places at once? Simple answer: Two of the same person, or in other words, twins.
Sophomores Kayla and Jessie Oshinski are mirror-imaged twins, the easiest twins to mistake for one another. But one can never mistake either twin’s singing, choreography, or acting abilities.
It is their abilities that have bonded them, made them sisters, and made them best friends for life.
It is the talents that have allowed Kayla to help Jessie with hitting higher notes when singing, or Jessie helping Kayla hitting lower notes; if Jessie is coming up with a dance, and Kayla critiquing it.
It is their abilities that have gotten them through their shows together. Whether it was singing, “Lets get Together” in the third grade musical, “The Musical Time Machine”; or if it was dancing in “The Princess and the Pirate”.
But it isn’t just their abilities that have made them strong.
It is their faith in God, their belief in if they fail, and God will be there to pick them up.
It is their friendship and sisterhood, their love for each other.
It is their friends and family, who have supported them each day.
It is two actors, two dancers, two singers, and two sisters.
It is one faith, one friendship, and one bond in two people.
Faith has made them twins, but their hearts have made them best friends for life.
