From the opening scene with a character being killed, to the end where everything was wrapped up with a neat little bow, Kingsman: The Secret Service was a fairly spectacular movie.

All of the characters were wonderful, from the down-to-earth main character and his humble origins, to all of the slick, courageous Kingsmen themselves. Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, played by Taron Egerton, was the main character in this movie, and he was portrayed fantastically.

Right from the beginning you loved his character. He was a smart, cool, and honorable guy who was discovered by the society of the Kingsman. He was inducted into an intense training program, and that is where the plot really took off.

The main villain, played by Samuel L. Jackson, was attempting to cure the world and stop people from killing it. He was a bit eccentric, a bit too much so for my liking, but I suppose that was on purpose because he was a megalomaniac.

From the small plot twists to the huge ones, this movie kept me interested from start to finish. The movie had many comical parts to it, but there was a single scene near the end which ruined the movie for me.

A single poor choice by the directors forced me to get a bad taste for the movie. If you saw the movie, you would know exactly which scene I am talking about. I would have awarded the movie four stars, but the scene bothered me so much that I can no longer do this.

However, there were many fantastic things about the movie as well, such as the fight scenes. I was left in awe by each and every one of the fight scenes in the movie. They were slick, easy to follow, and breathtakingly well directed.

There were scenes where the characters made me really excited and scenes that made me really depressed. The scenes in which included Galahad, played by Colin Firth, were wonderful. He was one of my favorite characters in the entire movie.

Overall, the movie deserves three out of five stars.
