The Homecoming 2.0 Pep Rally was kicked off by a basketball shoot off, juniors against sophomores and seniors against freshmen. The winners of each, the sophomores and seniors, went head to head and the seniors won, making 6 out of 10 of their baskets.

Following the shoot off, the final round of the Huntley High School Olympics started. Team North Korea beat New Zealand in a game of badminton, winning 14-10.

They then challenged the teachers to a game and dominated them, 17-9.

Team North Korea took home the “gold” and won the Huntley High School Olympics. This rally kicked off the St. Baldricks fundraiser going on at the school. You can purchase t-shirts supporting the cause for $15; all the money goes back to the Huntley community.

The pep rally continued with a performance for Orchesis to Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t.” There were congratulations for all winter sports and activities. The pep rally ended with the poms squad performing a dance routine.

On March 13 there will be another pep assembly to shave the heads of the teachers who win the penny wars, which will take place during all lunch periods in the following weeks.
