It was a frigid afternoon when the meet started. The stands were filled with the parents, of the athletes, wearing winter coats, hats and gloves. It was a different temperature than what Huntley had grown accustomed to over the past few weeks, but the track and field team were just as ready as ever to compete.

The air was warm and breezy in the afternoon of Friday April 17, and the anticipation of the varsity girls track team filled the stuffy air of the bus.
