Huntley came out strong and ready to play as it was clear in the first few innings.

Fielding wise, the Red Raiders did well in the first two innings allowing no runs to score until the third.

Senior Brandon Duvall started with a leadoff single and then stole second putting him into scoring position. Huntley was on top with a score of 1-0 by the end of the first inning and they were ready to win.

In the third inning, DeKalb scored three runs putting them in the lead. But, the Raiders came back and tied it in the bottom of the third by scoring two runs.

DeKalb had a successful fourth inning by scoring one more run to put them back in the lead with a score of 4-3.

Huntley’s fourth inning was not too good because they allowed one run and did not put any more runs on the board.

In the fifth inning, both of the teams scored one run still with DeKalb in the lead. The final score was 5-4 and was in favor of DeKalb.

The Raiders stayed focused and played hard the entire game and did not let anything stand in their way of playing their best.

With a total of four errors, Huntley was successful with minimizing their compounded errors.

DeKalb had a total of two fielding errors, which contributed to their success throughout the game.

The loss stings, but is taken as a positive to look at as a learning experience.
