On Jan.13, 2009, one of the sweetest and most calming songs I’ve ever heard was released: “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. The song is about love and being, well, lucky to have someone in their life that they love so much. Mraz and Caillat’s voices harmonize so beautifully, I get goosebumps every time this song is on the radio. Now, I’ve never been in love, but the love they describe in the song is the kind of love I can only hope I have one day, and I know a lot of other people hope for that as well too. The video fits the lyrics perfectly, putting Caillat “across the water / across the deep blue ocean” and Mraz in a city across the sea. On YouTube, the music video has over 96 million views since it was released in November of 2009.
