This is a quick Q/A with Junior Tara Pavithran.

Q. Who was your craziest/most interesting teacher?

A. Mrs. Meyer. She went with the flow. She’s very ambitious. She was just a cool teacher. Apparently she has a bee farm!

Q.What makes you roll your eyes every time you hear someone say it?

A.When people ask “why do girls wear so much makeup?” They just want to! I express myself through makeup, and it’s not because I’m doing it for someone else, I’m doing it for myself.

Q. Do you think aliens exist? Why/Why not?

A.Yes, it’s strange to think that we could be the only living things out there. They could look similar, to us or they could look like plants. We don’t really know.

Q. Best movie you’ve ever seen? Why?

A.Moana because it exceeded my expectations for Disney movies. The music was also done very well.  My favorite character is Moana.

Q. Do you have any weird nicknames?

A.My friends occasionally call me Tea.

Q. Do you trust anyone with your life?

A.My two sisters. We are so close and share a special bond. One of my sisters is a twin, the other is younger. One time my twin sister and I got locked in a shed in my backyard and didn’t get found for an hour.

Q. If you could stay one age forever what would it be? Why?

A.I’d want to be 21; you can actually do things. You’re in your youth; old but not too old.  It’d be great to travel on my own. I’d have more freedom to be independent, for example if I’m living alone. At 21 I think I’ll  be somewhere in this region because I’m going medical school and it’ll be a long process.

Q. What cheers you up?

A.My friends cheer me up. They often call me up when I’m sad, asking if I want to go somewhere and talk. I also remind myself that nothing lasts forever.

Q. Best compliment you’ve ever received?

A. When people compliment my humor. My friends do that the most. Though I’m often praised for my humor, my best quality is that I’m able to work with a variety of people.

Q. Do you agree that your high school years are the best of your life?

A.They aren’t the best but they’re essential. You’re constantly changing. Sophomore year I changed a lot. I joined a bunch of activities that I didn’t think I was going to join.
