Four shooters advanced to the Class 4A Country Financial 3-Point Showdown on Thursday night in Normal, Ill.

Grayslake North’s Kendall Detweiler (nine points), Rolling Meadows’ Alexis Glasgow (nine), Bolingbrook’s Kamari Jordan (nine), and Orland Park’s Rachel Ruzevich (11) advance to the Class 4A 3-Point Showdown Final in between the 4A games at approximately 8 p.m. on Friday.

The four girls emerged from a group of 32 who shot alongside the Class 3A participants at around 5 on Thursday afternoon.  Each girl had 45 seconds to shoot a set of five balls from the middle left, center, and middle right areas behind the three-point arc.

Huntley senior Amanda Kaniewski, who advanced past the Belvidere North Regional and Rockford East Sectional rounds, did not advance as she finished with six shots made.

Friday’s 3A and 4A winners will vie to shoot for Saturday’s Queen of the Hill round, which features each class’s respective winner.
