Here is a message from the Village of Huntley on the latest about Route 47:

Update: On Monday November 7th, watch for new traffic configurations between Algonquin Road and Main Street as southbound traffic is moved onto the new pavement.

Good News! Crews are in the process of striping the newly widened Route 47 roadway. As of Friday November 4th, most lanes are now open between Mill Street and the southern limits. Please remain alert as you drive through the construction zone as new lanes will continue to open up at the north end of the project. Weather permitting, striping is anticipated to be completed some time during the week of November 7th, at which time ALL LANES ARE ANTICIPATED TO BE OPEN. Continue to watch for construction workers and flaggers directing traffic.

It rained a majority of the day on Tuesday and according to The Weather Channel it is expected to rain Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning. It is not clear if this has caused a setback in the stripping efforts. The Voice will provide more information as it becomes available.
