Wakey!Wakey!’s “Almost Everything” made its start thanks to TV’s “One Tree Hill,” which I am almost done binge watching. The song, just listening to it, makes me happy for some reason. I think it’s due to the repeating line of “it feels bad now but it’s gonna get better some day,” which is a great reminder that it’s not going to be this hard forever. I think a lot of forget that high school isn’t the final destination, me especially. This song is the one song that I’ve been turning on lately to put me in a better mood. Michael Grubbs, who played Grubbs in “One Tree Hill” is the lead singer in the band. Besides his voice, I love the piano and violin that Wakey!Wakey! features in all of their songs. Listen to “Almost Everything” next time you’re having a hard day, and hopefully, it will serve as a reminder that it gets better.
