This song was requested by our A&E editor to be song of the week, so this one’s for you Lucas! In September of 2002, The Strokes released one of their more well-known songs, “Someday” as the third single from their album “Is This It.” This indie rock band’s song peaked at number 17 on the U.S. Alternatives Songs chart. “Someday” is really the quintessential indie rock song, with the raspy voice and head-bopping guitar and drum duo. I think this song is so loved by many because it talks about “the good old days” and wanting things to stay the same even when they are changing because that’s how life is. It is an incredibly relatable song, and a different meaning to every person listening, and that is what makes it so great.
