ALGONQUIN, IL – Consolidated School District 158 is proud to announce the award recipients in the 2011 -2012 Those Who Excel education awards program sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Annually districts are allowed to nominate one individual in each of six categories.

The award recipients are:
–Mrs. Tricia Baltzersen, Marlowe Middle School reading and language arts teacher,
received the Award of Recognition in the Classroom Teacher category.
–Mr. Emilio Guebara, lead custodian at Marlowe Middle School received the Award of
Recognition in the Educational Service Personnel category.
–Mr. Mike Moan, former Principal at Marlowe Middle School and current Chief
Academic Officer for District 158, received the Award of Recognition in the School
Administrator category.
–Mr. Anthony Quagliano, Board of Education member and Finance Committee Chair,
received the Award of Excellence in the School Board Member category.

The winners received their awards at the annual recognition banquet and ceremony held on October 22, 2011 in Normal, IL. Consolidated School District 158 wishes to congratulate all of our award winners. Award
recipients Emilio Guebara, Mike Moan, and Anthony Quagliano will be recognized by the Board of Education at the Committee of the Whole meeting on November 3, 2011, and Tricia Baltzersen will be recognized on November 10, 2011 at the Regular meeting.
