The Raiders Girl’s basketball team won the Fox Valley Conference Regional Championship for the seventh time in the past nine years. The final score against Rockford was 60-15, they will advance in the state tournament.

Seniors Blake Jacobs, Kyle Slonka, Riley Wicks, Amanze Egekeze, and Zack Gorney would all start their last high school game Tuesday night against the Auburn Knights. Entering the game with a 21-7 record, the Raiders had high hopes to continue in the State Tournament.

Winning regionals in their last game, and finishing the season at 27-4, Huntley moved on to sectionals at Crystal Lake South to face the Boylan Catholic Titans. What would be the last high school game for seniors Bethany Zornow, Samantha Andrews, and Rachel Zobott started off slow for the Red Raiders, only scoring 4 points to Boylan’s 13.

Huntley High School’s boys basketball team’s final game of the season was on Tuesday, Feb. 24 on the home court. The seniors finished strong, winning 55-28 over Crystal Lake South. Nine players on the 2013-2014 varsity basketball team are seniors and this was their last regular season game.

Jamieson Allare, a sophomore at Huntley High School, stands a mere 5-foot-8-inches and weighs in at 135 pounds. He is a quiet kid who plays basketball for the high school squad, and always keeps his grades up. It is shocking to think that he could be number one in the world.
