Recently Huntley High School’s Christian Club has resumed meetings for the 2012-2013 school year. The club, which has been known in the past as C.H.I.L.L. and J.O.Y., is supervised by Jim McGee.
Once again, Huntley High School has had another successful homecoming week, with the help of Student Council. With hopes of even more success and involvement, Student Council members have made big plans for this year’s upcoming events.
Like most people, senior Shaquon Howard gets stage fright. He is nervous as he takes to the stage with Project Two, a Huntley High School singing group.
Freshman Emily Benz, freshman Linda Kay Haddad, and sophomore Olivia Krewer are the only students from Huntley High School to win the Read for a Lifetime Achievement Award issued by Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White this year.
The Silver Cord hours for the Senior Class of 2012 are now entered into the database. Counselor Karen Miller has been speedily entering numbers to determine who will be granted the honorary Silver Cord.
It is the last day of school. You can’t wait to sleep in, relax, and forget about school. No more math, no more science, no more writing, and no more reading. Usually, this is true, but starting this year every grade in District 158 will have summer reading.
