For those of you who do not own any sort of social media, Sleeping With Sirens is an American post-hardcore band that was formed in 2009 that has been all over Twitter and in almost every teenage girls conversation. Consisting of Kellin Quinn-lead vocals, Justin Hills playing bass guitar, Gabe Barham on drums , Jack Fowler playing lead guitar, and Nick Martin playing rhythm guitar.
Sleeping with Sirens have released three full-length studio albums and just recently followed up with their newest album, Madness, that was released on March 13 that was almost entirely self-produced with the help of John Feldmann.
They are currently signed to Epitaph Records who have been doing a lot of work on promoting since January after releasing single “Go Go Go” that accompanied a music video that premiered on Epitaph’s official Youtube channel. Preceding this the band released “Kick Me,” the bands leading single, on Nov. 16 this past year.
“Kick Me” as well as “Go Go Go” really kicks off the album with a new pop direction in the elements of their old song. While “Better Of Dead” really touches straight on the subject that a lot of people deal with nowadays that they are too afraid to confide in with their loved ones.
“The Strays” is off the folk end and really adds something different with their acoustic guitar, live strings and joyous vocal melody and it completely works. But Sleeping With Sirens has not completely ditched their hard-core sound, “We Like It Loud” gives audiences plenty to mosh too, hence the name.
Overall Sleeping With Sirens put out another good album much to many other reviewers agreement. From here it could only get better if they do it right. For every “fan” that leaves, there are more new fans ready to replace the old ones.
