The return of Shane Dawson
November 4, 2021
In 2020, 32-year-old Shane Dawson was canceled after videos of him making jokes regarding pedophilia in his younger years resurfaced. Dawson made a video a year ago addressing his faults and apologized for his awful actions. However, two weeks ago, Dawson published a video titled, “The Haunting of Shane Dawson,” a three part series explaining how he coped with the apprehension of his cancellation a little over a year ago and updates us with his recent paranormal experiences.
In Dawson’s recent video, he confronts his struggles with coping with the overwhelming emotional shock he has been through the last year and a half. Dawson has had a long battle with depression; however, the last year and a half brought on severe waves of depression and even triggered a failed suicide attempt.
In hopes of lifting his spirits and to contribute to Dawson’s recovery, Dawson moved from his lavish home in Calabasas to Colorado, but he is soon to marry his fiance, Ryland Adams.
Although Dawson has had multiple lows the past year and a half, he has also enjoyed various highs.
With his move to Colorado, Dawson has felt more motivated and inspired to film more horror based videos because of the rich horror-based culture. In the second and last parts of “The Haunting of Shane Dawson,” Dawson visited a haunted bridge in Colorado called third bridge.
Third bridge is rich in some pretty horrifying history. A massacre of an Indian tribe, 4 fatal car accidents, and various other strangulation murders, and even a death caused by the victim’s scalp getting cut out of their head have taken place on the land the bridge is built on. Overall, Dawson’s video highlights the horrors of the haunted bridge and even has some pretty terrifying encounters himself.
All in all, Shane Dawson is back with his paranormal videos and creepy conspiracy theories. Although Dawson has made his fair share of scarring mistakes, he is back and hopefully for a good time.
