On Oct. 17, Huntley girls varsity volleyball took home another win against Dundee Crown, making their overall record 28-6. In a dominating game, Huntley won both sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-13 by keeping constant pressure during the offensive and defensive sets.
“I think defensively, we really show out, and the same with our offense on losing a bunch of kills down the line,” senior outside hitter Morgan Jones said. “Yeah, our offense was serving as the best part of our game.”
Huntley’s domination with their hits, great communication, and teamwork led to their victory in both sets of the match.
“I felt like our team played really well together,” senior setter Laura Boberg said. “There’s been a couple of games where we struggled with putting everything together, but we looked good.”
With constant communication between all players on the court and fluent interaction, Huntley was able to come out on top yet again.
The girls varsity volleyball team has put in lots of work throughout the season during practices and games.
“We practiced our blocking, and I think those are two components that did a really nice job for us today,” said Huntley girls varsity volleyball coach, Karen Naymola.
Even with constant drills and practices to improve the team, as the team record increases game-by-game, the competition gets all the more challenging.
“Every team we play I feel like, plays a great match against us because everybody wants to beat Huntley,” Naymola said.
In order to stay ahead of other teams, the girls varsity volleyball team continues to keep working and improving before each game to prepare for another victory.
With the season almost at an end and playoffs just around the corner, Huntley can not wait to see what our girls volleyball team has in store for the remainder of the year.
