On Sunday, it was announced that Huntley’s student section, Raider Nation, is a candidate in CN100’s annual Battle of the Fans Madness tournament.

The tournament features 16 teams—just Huntley from the Fox Valley conference—and allows students to vote for their own student section. Eight of the 16 student sections will move on to the second round of the tournament. After that, voting will continue by halving entries until just one school stands.

As of Tuesday, Huntley stands in third place with just less than four percent of the total votes. Warren High School’s student section, Blue Crew, leads all sections with nearly 65 percent of the votes.

Raider Nation gained recognition during Huntley’s victory against Barrington in the CN100 High School Game of the Week on Feb. 18.
