Undefeated matching up against undefeated.

Quarterback Anthony Binetti leads the Red Raiders against Cary Grove tonight.

Coming off of a 56-15 win against Hampshire in our Homecoming matchup, first-year starting quarterback Anthony Binetti looks to lead the Red Raiders against the 4-0 Cary Grove Trojans.

Already with 734 yards in his first four games as a starter, Binetti will step on Cary’s grass without a loss. Cary Grove has been very highly touted all year long, seen as “the team to beat,” in the conference. Many see Huntley as the “underdogs” this week, but the way I see it, the Trojans have scored a total of 151 points, but the Raiders have scored 213 points.

That’s nine touchdowns in four games.

I think if the Raiders target some receivers that are not the biggest names, the Trojans are going to make the Raiders beat them with somebody who is not Esikiel or Altergott. If Binetti targets senior Kyle Kesul and junior Ben Pfeifer in the early part of the game, the Trojans will have no choice but to drop to a cover two, or play man against them and that will give Altergott and Esikiel space to get open, and it opens up the running lanes.

If the Raiders defense holds the high powered Trojan offense to 21 points or less and get two take-aways, that will be enough for Binetti and the Big Red Machine to march down field with confidence and take this game.

My prediction, the Raiders on top, 35-17.
