Boys Lacrosse Preseason

As the Huntley High School Boys Lacrosse team prepares for the upcoming season, beginning March 16 in their season opener against Libertyville, here is a flashback to their successes and losses from last year and what to look forward to this season.

Last year, they finished with 8 wins and 9 losses. They began last season with a loss to Mount Carmel, finishing the game with the score of 5-13. They concluded the season with a loss to Mundelein with a score of 9-11.

A major highlight from last season was their second game of the season against Hampshire. They ended the game strong with a 17-1 win. Another success for the team was against Marian when they won 13-6. They also had a very strong win against Crystal Lake South. They ended the game with an exciting win of 10-4.

Sophomore Rafael De La Paz, a new varsity member on the team, is ready for the upcoming season.

ā€œIā€™m looking forward to play with this great group of guys and play under these coaches to hopefully have a successful season and become a better player at the varsity level,ā€ De La Paz said.

Returning players that will be completing in their last season playing for Huntley High School will be seniors Samuel De La Paz, Brock Dickte, Hunter Gertz, Adam Mayer, Adam Miller, Teddy Olszewski, and Chase Zion.
