In a statement on Centegra’s website the health system says they have appealed the decision by the State of Illinois Health Facilities and Services review board in December.

Centegra has appealed the state board decision on Dec. 7, 2011 to deny our CON application for permission to build CH-H. We came within one single vote of attaining approval; it was 4-4 and we needed a majority of 5 votes. We remain committed to meeting the health needs of our growing community and are confident the people of Southern McHenry and Northern Kane Counties deserve and need a new hospital. We remain steadfast in our dedication to bring Centegra Hospital-Huntley to our community.

According to the board their next meeting is on February 28 in Bollingbrook, IL. It is unknown if the Centegra project is to be discussed at the meeting. TribLocal reports that there will be an administrative hearing to have a judge decide to overrule the decision by the board.
