Huntley Fashion 101 with Maddie Meucci
December 8, 2019
Winter fashion at Huntley High School is coming on full force this season. Sophomore, Ava Garifo is a perfect example of what the winter fashion looks like this year.
On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Ava paired a cute grey, cream, and peach sweater with a white-washed, grey pair of ripped jeans. Her sweater was from Hollister and her jeans were from American Eagle. Along with the sweater and jeans, she wore her white Vans. Ava accessorized with a hair tie bandanna from Pacsun, dainty rings from Pandora, and a pretty signature heart necklace from Tiffany & Co.
This winter, a lot of trends have come back strong. Animal prints, Doc Martens, and sherpa jackets are very popular at the high school.
“I want to try animal prints, that’s been a very big trend,” Garifo said.
Garifo expressed that her favorite winter pieces are sweaters and sherpa jackets.
You might be asking yourself, where can I find some of these trends? Don’t worry Garifo’s got you. She revealed that she finds most of her trendy pieces at Tilly’s, Hollister, American Eagle, and Pacsun.
Many stores this season are carrying these trends too. Target has a wide variety of sherpa jackets and Tilly’s has the signature Doc Martens if your dying to get your hands on a pair!
But, don’t worry, you can still be trendy and fashionable without any of these accessories and trends. Always remember that the small details and unique twists on your outfits stand out more than anything you buy from a store. Putting your own outfits together makes you your own kind of trendy.
Winter season is here, stay warm and trendy ladies and always remember to be confident. Being yourself is the best kind of fashion!
