Wrestling with DMD: Episode 4

Welcome back to the last review of Wrestling with DMD for this year. For anyone that is new, this is a review where I talk about wrestling companies and what I think about them.

Today we are talking about WWE’s biggest event, Wrestlemania, which just happened about a week ago. This event is a very special event, the pinnacle of wrestling, one of, if not the biggest in all of sports entertainment. This pay-per-view is one that any wrestling fan would know about, and now I will be talking about it.

The two-night show has several matches on the weekend, the biggest ones being Charlotte Flair, the Smackdown Women’s Champion, versus Rhea Ripley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens versus The Usos for the Tag Team Championships, Gunther versus Sheamus versus Drew Mcintyre for the Intercontinental Championship, Edge versus Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell and Cody Rhodes vs Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

So I for one did enjoy the show. The matches were wonderful to watch with so many good moments and surprises. The rivalries were top-notch and beautifully made.

I think the only two things that I really hated were these two things. One was Miz versus Shane Mcmahon because of how Shane Mcmahon somehow got hurt even before the match, and they had to end it quicker with Snoop Dogg getting the pin kind of getting the show-off schedule. The second is the last match with Roman versus Cody because of two reasons. The first reason was how Roman has been champion for such a long time, it was getting too boring, and second, Roman won by cheating.

Now, the only reason I was mad about the cheating is that it’s the main event of Wrestlemania, and it’s not a clean finish. I get that it keeps Cody Rhodes in the picture for the championship, but I really did not like the finish.

Even though that was not my favorite moment, Wrestlemania was still a big hit and a very good show. The Youtube channel, Whatculture Wrestling, talks highly about the show and as well about how WWE is doing altogether.

It might have had a big fall with Bray Wyatt having problems causing him not to have a match at Wrestlemania and Randy Orton still not being able to wrestle and might not ever have a chance again, but besides that, WWE is doing good. With Matt Riddle returning on Raw and NXT as well as doing very well with their pay-per-views and superstars being amazing, WWE is going down the right path and making many fans excited just like me.
