Downtown Huntley buzzed with excitement as the two-year-old Lincoln House & Co. Coffee and Wine Bar hosted a creative “Friends” trivia night on April 29, 2025. It drew not only locals just there for the normal chill and vibey atmosphere, but also fans of the iconic sitcom for an evening of testing your knowledge, trying a new place, laughter, nostalgia, and community and friendship bonding.
Located at 11808 Main Street, Lincoln House & Co. has quickly become a cherished local spot for Huntley High School students to grab a fun drink and sweet treat with their friends to chat or to study in an ambient place. Owned by the Lincoln family—who also run the nearby Lincoln Farmstead wedding venue—the coffee and wine bar offers a cozy energy with a menu featuring craft coffee, wine, beer, and food options like avocado toast, charcuterie boards, and paninis.
The trivia night, themed around the beloved TV show “Friends,” transformed the café into a lively set where teams competed to showcase their knowledge of Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe. Participants enjoyed themed drinks and snacks, enhancing the immersive experience and nostalgic vibes.
“It felt like I was reliving the best parts of the show with my actual friends,” Courtney Thorne, a local resident and event attendee, said. “The questions were clever, and the atmosphere was just perfect.”
Lincoln House & Co. has become known for its creative events, like open mic nights and wine tastings, aimed at fostering local connection, which they achieve.
“I love how this place brings people together,” Josh Lonigro, a regular at the shop, said. “Whether it’s trivia or just a great glass of wine on the patio, there’s always something happening.”
Staff also received praise for their hospitality during the event.
“The baristas and servers were so enthusiastic—it really made the night extra special,” attendee Meredith Carey said. “It’s places like this that make Huntley feel like such a tight-knit community.”
