A police chase occurred on Algonquin Road on Sunday, April 1 in-between the times of 4 and 5 p.m.
As of 5 p.m. no comment has yet been released from both Algonquin and Huntley police departments.
Two teenage hispanic males were reported by witnesses to have stolen a vehicle from Cary.
According to an eyewitness account, Huntley High School junior Erika Huckins, the police chase began in the town of Algonquin, where both suspects were then chased by Algonquin and Huntley police on Algonquin Rd.
Later, the suspects turned into the neighborhood Bell Chase, where they were continued to be pursued by the local police.
The stolen vehicle was left parked on a Bell Chase resident’s driveway located on Annedale St.
Both suspects were seen running through the Bell Chase neighborhood while being chased by cops on foot.
“They jumped over my fence then two cops followed them,” said Huckins. “All these cops were running around my neighborhood.”
Both teenagers were reported to have run into an open field where a squad car continued to pursue them.
“I was just trying to figure out what was happening,” said Huckins. “Then I saw more cops and I figured something was going on.”
18 squad cars as well as police dogs were released on the scene.
