“About Time”, is a British romantic comedy directed by Richard Curtis, an English screenwriter, music producer, actor and film director.
Hitting the big screen on Nov. 1, the film has already made a profit of $1.1 million in the box office.
An actress that may be familiar would be the lovely Rachel McAdams.
This actress has starred in “The Notebook,” landing the lead role of this romantic drama. No romantic film would be complete without her. As an actress she knows how to enter her character’s state of mind very well.
21-year-old Tim Lake, played by Domhnall Gleeson (who plays Bill Weasley in the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” films), plays as an awkward law student living in London. All he wants in life is to find true love. Gleeson was an excellent choice to play the role of Tim Lake because not only does he fit the part but he also connects with his character perfectly.
The day after a disastrous New Year’s party, Lake’s father (Bill Nighy) reveals that all the men in the family have the ability to travel through time. Tim now has the capability to restore anything that he desires of his past. He will attempt to create a better life for himself and those around him.
Tim Lake finally meets a clumsy and insecure woman who happens to be the love of his life, Mary (Rachel McAdams).
Due to a time traveling accident he altered the past and instead of meeting Mary, he was busy helping a friend.
It was indeed a struggle to win the key to her heart (again), but it was worth it.
Not everything in life comes easily, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t worth it. The determination that this man has to win Mary over is incredible.
Any girl would want somebody willing to sacrifice anything for them.
This adorable love story will melt the hearts of anybody planning to watch it.
The moral of the film is to allow you to be aware that life shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Attempt to live life to its fullest. The plot of the film overall is very well done, but it does drag on for quite a bit.
Going through all the ups and downs within Lake’s life, he realizes that there are some things that cannot be fixed. Everybody will go through pain and sorrow in life and there is no preventing that.
“Try to live everyday as it is the very last day of your life.”
