The new Netflix series has recently shocked viewers with its “political rivalries and portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.”
Throughout the first episodes, it shows a young princess Elizabeth marrying a Prince Philip as they show what their life together is like. Season One also shows the terrible times that come over London for quite some time and creates a serious health hazard.
Winston Churchill is left vulnerable by the decisions of his inaction and Elizabeth becomes queen. Basically, the Netflix original is the life and the upbringing of the Queen of England.
It tells the chronicles and the life of Queen Elizabeth II played by the actress Claire Foy. In season one, the very beginning shows the 25-year-old woman being crowned queen and shows some of her first decisions as queen.
Towards the middle of season one, her father King George IV grows very ill. After her father’s death, she was sworn to the throne. Throughout the show, decades and decades continuously pass and more things keep changing.
During this time, political rivalries and secret rivalries are brought to surface and personal interests of the royal party are also revealed to the viewers. These things played such a major role in society and in the later years of the 20th century.
This show is very drama filled, but it is a learning experience. It seems as if when you are watching it, you can understand where the writer and the director inserted certain lines and places that led us to understand the parts of the scenes that could have taken place and turned out exactly how things went in real life.
So, if you are interested in learning and watching something interesting, I highly recommend watching “The Crown” on Netflix.
