The Huntley Area Public Library is now offering some free services that are going to help students who live in the library district improve grades, get help on homework and prepare for tests.

The new service is called HelpNow! and is a free service that provides top notch educational support for patrons. The service allows students to register and get live help from a certified tutor in topics ranging from Algebra to Biology and every subject in between. All they need is a Huntley library card.

They also have test prep to prepare for the ACT or writing workshops where a student can upload an essay or paper they are working on and get free feedback from a real person.

Students can also get live help when they just need to improve on a skill in a class or if they need assistance on Spanish as well.

HelpNow! is just one of many educational support tools offered by the HAPL, they also have every textbook that District 158 uses on the site for students to use when they forget it at school.

“We want to offer the community anything we can,” said Doug Cataldo, Communications Assistant/Webmaster. “We also want to encourage people to keep educating themselves.”

The library also offers “JobNow!” that provides live interview and job skills coaching as well as a resume lab.
