I recently read “It Ends With Us” by Colleen Hoover because I heard how amazing it was and how it is one of the best romance novels written. It became increasingly popular on TikTok and caught my attention there. Once I heard enough about it, I decided to make a stop by Barnes and Noble and buy a copy.

It took me two days to read, which was faster than normal. It was probably because of the story itself, and not my reading pace. The story was nothing I expected it to be. But the question is, was it worth all the hype it was receiving?

Some may say the novel is definitely overhyped, but for me, I did not think so. The popularity was well-deserved. It was gripping and there were plenty of plot twists. I audibly gasped at some parts and the development of the characters was not something as cheesy as them striving to be better and learning from their mistakes.

There are major issues and concerns in the book that you are waiting to get solved, but they might not get solved the way you anticipated.

However, when it comes to Hoover’s other novels, they have the same plot happening. While the books are not exactly alike, they are similar which is something that some people might like and some people will not. When it comes to romance novels, many stories can be deemed to have the same storyline with different characters.

But “It Ends With Us” was something I truly did not expect and enjoyed. I read lots of romance novels and try to compare them to each other, but I could not compare this story to anything except for other novels from Colleen Hoover.

I would definitely recommend it and if I had to give it a rating out of five stars, it would be a four. So, if you have not read it yet, I highly recommend giving it a read.
