The team was off to a very strong start. In the first quarter, the Red Raiders took the lead with the score 17-0.

“We got off to a good start, we extended the lead in the second and third quarters. It was great to get a win at home,” coach Clayton Henricksen said.

The second and third quarters were similar to each other. The team was able to keep their lead, but Dundee Crown managed to score a few points. The third quarter ended with a score of 53-31.

“We all trusted each other, and that helped us connect and get baskets,” senior Sammi Campanelli said.

The girls’ hard work and practice really paid off. By the end of the fourth quarter, Huntley managed to win with a 29 point lead.

“I thought we all played together, and I felt like everyone contributed and it was a good win,” senior Alyssa Koop said.

The team has been working hard. They plan to continue to improve and do their best.

“There’s always things to work on. We really pride ourselves on our defense. There’s a couple things defensively we could clean up, but overall I’m proud of their effort. It was a good team collective win and good effort,” Coach Henricksen said.

They really put in a lot of effort and gave this game their all. The season has been going really well, and together they will definitely continue to win.

“I thought [the game] was awesome. I thought we all played together and connected, and that helped us win,” Campanelli said.
