At the touch of your fingertips, everywhere and at any time, is the legendary video game “Clash Royale.”
Supercell put together a wonderful game that combines thought-out strategy along with relying on the luck of the draw.
It is the perfect blend of a multiplayer online battle arena game and a town defense game; however, at its roots is also a collectible card game.
“Clash Royale” has been incredibly popular and successful; with just one year after its release in March 2016 it made $1 billion in revenue. After three years of entertaining the minds of countless players, it had reached $2.5 billion in revenue.
Similar to other tower rush video games, the main objective is to destroy the most towers, which are represented by a “crown”. “Clash Royale” allows individuals to compete against others across the globe online in their different game modes. You can play with two or four players in 1v1 and 2v2 games.
A unique rule to “Clash Royale” is that if you destroy the other player’s “King’s Tower” it will lead to an instant win in the match.
The players must compete against each other, but the time is also against them. Games last three minutes and if the players are tied when the time is up there will be a two minute overtime. During overtime, the game is played under sudden death guidelines where whoever destroys the other tower first wins instantly.
Players are ranked and increase in levels with the more experience they gain as well as upgrading and giving away cards. There are limits to the levels one can read as a player and their King Tower, as a player can reach up to level 70 and King Towers can reach up to level 15.
A gamer’s skill level helps decide who they will go against then the game’s system puts them in a competitive match.
