Parenthood’ is a drama created by Jason Katims, the creator of successful show Friday Night Lights.

The NBC drama shows the lives of the large clan of Bravermans: grandparents Zeek and Camille, their children Adam, Sarah, Crosby, and Julia, and their children.

The show goes to all kinds of family lives unexplored by television right from the start.

In season one, Adam and his wife must adapt to their son being diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, Sarah is a single mother of two teenagers, Crosby is surprised by an ex-girlfriend and their interracial son whom he never knew existed, and Julia is a big-shot lawyer while her husband is a stay-at-home dad.

‘Parenthood’ continues taking strides from there – heart wrenching strides that will result in tears during practically every episode.

This year is the show’s sixth and final season. It is a shame such a great show is almost over, but also a blessing that ‘Parenthood’ knows to go out on top, unlike most shows out there.
The finale premieres this Thursday, Jan. 29.
