Remember that movie, “Breakfast Club?” You know, one of the greatest, yet overrated, high school movies ever. With the senior class saying their goodbyes tomorrow, the song “Don’t You” by Simple Minds comes to my mind, as a kind of farewell to all the friends I’ve made this year that will be leaving high school. Released on Feb. 20, 1985, “Don’t You” has peaked at number one on The Most Music Charts. The music video, though not shot in December of 2010, was uploaded to YouTube and since then, the video has had almost 40 millions views. “Don’t You,” to me is a song about looking to the future but also remembering where you came from and holding the memories close. So I leave my senior friends with this song as a reminder that your lives start tomorrow, but don’t you forget about Huntley and where you came from.
