In 1986, “Transformers: The Movie” was released in theaters worldwide. 38 years later, “Transformers One” has just been released.
The movie is based on the popular Hasbro children’s toy from the 1980s. Different from other toys during that time, Transformers could be manually shape-shifted from robots to cars.
Before watching this movie, watching the original “Transformers” movie is highly recommended. It is a classic, and it will help set the plot for anyone not familiar with the “Transformers” series. “Transformers One” describes the backstory and past of “Transformers: The Movie.”
The movie has many famous actors in it, starring Chris Hemsworth as Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron, and Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1.
The movie starts with best friends Orion Pax (Optimus Prime) and D-16 (Megatron) mining for Energon, resulting in a cataclysmic war. The two friends with similar dreams and goals are now enemies who have changed the fate of Cybertron and have to figure out a way to fix it.
Throughout the movie, the audience observes how their friendship has deteriorated.
Packed with action, the movie’s animation is eye-catching, and every scene feels like the viewers are there with them fighting to save Cybertron. As well as the action, the parallels between real-world issues such as friendships being affected and war are also seen throughout the movie, making it a great story to teach children about how to deal with those issues. It also shows how everyone has different morals, but people should understand all beliefs and be kind to one another.
Overall, the movie was great for families. It had so much action, and the crew did a really great job with the animations. This movie would be great for anyone who grew up with the “Transformers” toy series or any families interested in a fun time. It is a wholesome story and it teaches great lessons and morals to kids of all ages.
