This is sophomore Elizabeth Kim.

Inside this girl is a big, fun-loving heart…and she lives every single day remaining positive, caring, energetic, and hard-working. Her personality radiates into the hearts of others, “waking them up” when she talks with them. Kim’s favorite colors are pink, light blue, purple, and yellow because of their happy and energetic moods.

And as an energetic person, she was in JV tennis, takes dance, and loves to ski. Her interests are broad, because she believes in trying new things.

She goes by her original name and by Lizzy. Being a full-blooded South Korean, she also has a Korean name that translates to Autumn, meaning “beauty.” Her twin brother, Matthew (whom she is very close to), has a Korean name pronounced Touen which means “full.” When naming her twin children, her mother wanted their Korean names to collectively mean something: beautiful together.

Kim is and outdoors-y person and a traveler, because being around nature and inhaling the fresh air surrounding her gives her a positive energy. She is able to channel her love for nature in the new Garden Club. She is especially in awe of the beautiful, vibrant colors displayed at sunset. Kim says it reminds her of a friend of hers, who had died of leukemia, and also had a burning love for sunsets.

“La La Land,” starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, is one of her favorite movies of all time. She adores the songs in the musical, expressing their perfection. And The Voice star Amy Vachal’s cover of Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight,” is also another one of her all-time favorite songs.

Kim is head-over-heels in love with music and art. Her mother is a voice instructor at a music studio, and the two of them connect through music and singing. She expresses her creative abilities through makeup, which is a passion of hers, and photography.

One thing she aims to live by every day is to always take the opportunity to spend and cherish time with her friends and family, because not doing so is something she does not want to regret.

In addition to telling me a little bit about herself, Kim chose and answered a question she wanted to answer: what is your favorite way to spend a lazy day? Watch the video above to see her response.
