Released on July 29, “Closer,” by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey, has taken the radio by storm. It peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and top charts in other countries as well. The song itself is inspired by Blink-182’s “I Miss You,” which is said to be the Blink-182 song referenced in the song. “Closer” is the third top ten single from The Chainsmokers, and is the first for Halsey, and the song also serves as both artists’ first number-one song. The popular song is one that makes you want to dance and forget all your problems, reminding you to live in the moment. “Closer” will be one of those songs, 10 years from now, that bring you right back to┬áthe heat and fun of summer.
