The song “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” by Trans Siberian Orchestra, was released in 1996. It is an instrumental mash-up of “Carol of the Bells” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and is the single greatest jam-out Christmas song out there. It is the rock and roll version of two very low key songs and always makes me want to head bang. The song depicts a lonely cello player in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, playing a forgotten Christmas carol. The song charted at number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song is highly popular at houses such as the one in the video.
