Song of the Week: ‘Just Give Me a Reason’ still prospers

“Just Give Me a Reason” by P!nk and Nate Ruess has been on the radio a lot in the past few weeks. The meaning behind the words is easy; it’s about wanting to hold onto a relationship even when it looks like it may be coming to an end. The song was originally supposed to be sang only by P!nk. However, she realized it was more of a conversation than a one-sided song. This leads to how “Just Give Me a Reason” was nominated for two Grammy’s, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The music video was released Feb. 5, 2013, and since then has had close to five million views. As for why the recent radio popularity, no one knows. But really, who’s complaining when this song is playing?
