Sherman doesn’t deserve the hate

After the Seahawks massive choke against the Patriots in the Super Bowl, there was more than enough blame to go around. Pete Carrol was blamed for not running the ball while on the one yard line with the best running back in NFL, Marshawn Lynch. Russell Wilson was blamed for throwing the vital interception that cost the Seahawks the chance to become the first team to be repeat Super Bowl champs in over a decade. Richard Sherman received heavy criticism for….. well, nothing.

Derek Jeter brought his hall of fame career to a close Sunday against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, leaving the game after an RBI single in the third. Jeter’s retirement after a historic 19 year career begs the question, Where does he rank among all-time great shortstops? The answer to that question is that Derek Jeter is the best shortstop in MLB history.

There is no better time to start watching soccer than now. The World Cup, the most viewed sporting event in the world, is starting on June 12. In the World Cup, the best players from in the world come together to compete in the best tournament in sports. The World Cup is soccer’s Super Bowl, and a perfect time to get into the sport. Watching the World Cup will not be challenging as hundreds of matches will be played in a months span, giving sports fans ample amount of time to check out a match or two.

Titanfall is an online only, Xbox and PC exclusive, first person shooter set in a sci-fi universe. The game is revolutionary in the first person shooter genre taking the best parts of many other successful shooters, and adding new mechanics to keep the game interesting.

Huntley routes Jefferson for Regional title

During the post game handshakes after Rockford Jefferson's win over Rockford East in the regional semifinals, a fight broke out. Players and fans came to blows as the tension between the two teams boiled over. The IHSA handed down swift punishment on the Rockford Jefferson players involved in the fight, suspending three starters, two bench players and Jefferson's head coach for the game against Huntley. A depleted Rockford Jefferson squad was outclassed by Huntley in every way falling 77-29 in a game that was never even close.

Huntley wins a thriller against Jacobs

Huntley’s varsity boys basketball team entered Friday night’s game against arch rival Jacobs undefeated and first in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division. With a win the visiting Jacobs team would take hold of first place in the conference. Huntley would not let that happen. Huntley defeated Jacobs 48-45 in a thriller at Huntley High School. The Raiders improved to 12-4 overall, and 5-0 in FVC Valley division.

Huntley dominates Cary Grove in division opener

During the third quarter the Red Raiders already had a commanding lead. Senior Amanze Egekeze caught a pass in transition after a Huntley steal, took a few dribbles, and threw down a dunk. The already rowdy crowd exploded as the Huntley bench stood up in excitement. This was the highlight of an incredible night for 6-foot-8 Belmont recruit Amanze Egekeze.
